CHARMLESS

I made a new comic! CHARMLESS is about Lola, a magic girl who isn't feeling very magical. Her job is a drain, her friends all seem to have it sorted ..and her girlfriend has dumped her?!

After my last comic, Lightfeets, which was quite upbeat and cute, I wanted to work on something more serious that explored my feelings of floundering in life. It looks at the confusion in dealing with resentment, rejection and all round rubbish stuff.  I hope I've made something that people might find a little relatable.

At the moment if you order any of my comics you can also add on a cute custom postcard sketch - I'll even take a reasonable request if you have a favourite character or want me to draw a quick little portrait!

Skate Witch

I made this ages ago, but then kept going back and messing with it which meant it never got posted!

I'm really missing skating and my beautiful league right now. This whole month I've had to skip training in order to work on my new comic, as I really want to have it ready for Thought Bubble in September. I love all my hobbies so much, but sometimes I just can't squeeze them all in. Comic work is going quite well though, despite a rocky start.

An Anniversary Commission

Here's a lovely commission I was asked to work on recently. Alex, Libby and Harry the dog!

I was super happy to be asked to do this by Libby, as I've known both her and Alex for a while - and it meant a lot to me to be able to do something to help them celebrate their first anniversary as a couple. It was also lovely to draw Harry, as he was a very good dog, whom I had the pleasure of meeting several times.

I really enjoy creating pieces like these - there's nothing better than taking a load of reference, ideas, little personal ideas.. and crafting them into a final piece. Also, I love drawing good dogs!
